The method comprises the following steps: collecting, analyzing and checking basic data of the uranium tailing pond flood drainage system; selecting suitable numerical simulation software; establishing a three-dimensional numerical model of the tailings pond flood drainage system and dividing grids according to regions; boundary conditions of an inlet and an outlet of the uranium tailing pond flood drainage system are determined; carrying out numerical simulation by adopting a model subjected to experimental research, comparing with a model test result, and verifying, calibrating and optimizing a numerical model according to a comparison result; performing three-dimensional numerical simulation on the uranium tailing pond flood drainage system; and related data of the drainage capacity, the wall surface pressure, the water flow velocity,the water depth and the flow state of the uranium tailing pond flood drainage system are given.
