Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of radio over fiber communication, and particularly relates to a vector radio frequency signal generation system based on a polarization multiplexing intensity modulator. The system comprises a laser, a polarization beam splitter, a first radio frequency signal source, a second radio frequency signal source, a polarization multiplexing intensity modulator, a polarization beam coupler, an optical amplifier, an optical filter and a photoelectric detector which are connected in sequence, according to the invention, a polarization multiplexing intensitymodulator is combined with devices such as an optical filter and a photoelectric detector to generate a vector radio frequency signal; a photon synthesis method is adopted, and polarization multiplexing is utilized to overcome crosstalk of optical signals with different frequencies; one modulator bears RF signals with different frequencies and converts the RF signals into optical signals, the optical signals are transmitted through the optical fibers, the polarization directions of the two radio-frequency signals are orthogonal, and the PD has no interference, so that the system performance of optical fiber wireless converged communication is effectively improved, and huge advantages are brought into play in an access network which takes an ROF system as a main part in the future.
