Abstract
The invention relates to the technical field of geotechnical engineering, and discloses a method for improving expansive soil by using a novel engineering material nano graphite powder. The method comprises the following steps: drawing a relation curve of the axial stress and the axial strain by taking the axial stress as a vertical coordinate and the axial strain as a horizontal coordinate; taking the maximum axial stress on the curve as the unconfined compressive strength, and taking the axial stress corresponding to 15% of the axial strain as the unconfined compressive strength of the improved soil when the peak value on the curve is not obvious. The beneficial effects are as follows, according to the method for improving the expansive soil by using the novel engineering material nano graphite powder, the expansive soil is improved by selecting the nano graphite powder; the influence rule of the nano-graphite powder on the strength characteristics of the expansive soil is explored,the optimal mixing amount of the nano-graphite powder under different dry densities is determined, and the optimal mixing amount of the nano-graphite powder under the condition of unknown soil body dry density is analyzed. A deep understanding is provided for the application of the nano material in geotechnical engineering and the exploration of a novel material.
