Embodiments of the present disclosure provide biaxially oriented polypropylene films (BOPP), power capacitors, and methods and systems for their manufacture. Biaxially oriented polypropylene films for power capacitors have a reduced molecular weight distribution in the range of 1.5-4 due to radiation treatment. The treated BOPP film has higher dielectric strength and improved electrical properties.
