[0014] A total of 74 patients with pterygium were selected from the Ophthalmology Department of Yunnan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, regardless of gender and age. The invention relates to application of lithospermum erythrorhizon-coptis chinensis liquid in preparation of a medicine for treating pterygium postoperative dry eyes, and belongs to the field of traditional Chinese medicine preparations. The lithospermum erythrorhizon-coptis chinensis liquid is prepared from following materials in parts by weight: 10 parts of lithospermum erythrorhizon, 10 parts of coptis chinensis, 10 parts of rheum officinale, 6 parts of safflower carthamus and 8 parts of cortex moutan. For a patient after a pterygium resection operation, the lithospermum erythrorhizon-coptis chinensis liquid is beneficial to accelerating postoperative rehabilitation and improving the stability of a tears membrane of an eye after the operation, and is effective for a pterygium postoperative dry eye.
