Abstract

An anion graft copolymerization method prepares amphiphilic polyolefin-polyoxyethylene graft copolymer. The polyolefin-p-methylstyrene with side chains containing potassium alkoxide groups is used as a macroinitiator to initiate the anion ring-opening graft polymerization of ethylene oxide monomers in the polymer side chains. This method can effectively control the molecular structure of the graft copolymer (such as graft density and graft length), polyolefin molecular weight and its distribution, and the side chain molecular weight distribution is very narrow. The molecular weight of side chain polyethylene oxide PEO is proportional to the reaction time and monomer concentration of anionic polymerization, showing the characteristics of anionic living polymerization.
