Embodiment Construction

[0029] figure 1 The configuration of the ultraviolet detection device of the first embodiment of the present invention is shown. This detection apparatus is constituted by arranging a plurality of discharge tube type ultraviolet detectors 1, 2 and 3 (in the illustrated case, the number is three) toward the incident side of ultraviolet rays.

[0030] The common configuration of each of the ultraviolet detectors 1, 2, and 3 is to arrange a pair of electrodes (anode 11 and cathode 12) in parallel at a predetermined interval in a discharge tube 10 made of ultraviolet-transmitting glass, and to pass an ionizable gas (Pan Ning gas) is filled into the discharge vessel 10. However, the cathode 12 of each detector is made of different materials (illustration: W, Cu, and Ag) from each other.

[0031] In addition, the anode 11 is made of a mesh metal material (for example, Mo, Ni or W). By making the anode 11 into a mesh shape, ultraviolet rays enter the inside from the upper end of t...

Abstract

A comparatively small-sized ultraviolet detectors free from mutual adverse effects between adjacent detectors when UV rays from flame are detected using a plurality of kinds of discharge-tube-type UV detectors having different detectable wavelength regions. A ultraviolet detector comprising an anode (11) and a cathode (12) set in a UV-ray transmittable discharge tube (10), and an ionizable gas filled in the discharge tube (10), wherein when a plurality of UV detectors (1, 2, 3) having cathodes (12) different in material are disposed on the incident side of UV rays and a specified voltage is applied to electrodes (11, 12) of each detector (1, 2, 3), voltage is applied to adjacent UV detectors time-shifted to avoid a concurrent voltage application.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to an ultraviolet detection device for accurately and efficiently detecting ultraviolet rays emerging from, for example, a flame inside a combustion furnace. Background technique [0002] In a combustion furnace, temperature control is performed to adjust the supply of air or fuel to achieve and maintain the desired temperature. On the other hand, it is required to suppress harmful nitrogen oxides (NO x ) or carbon monoxide (CO), etc., and improve combustion efficiency. In this way, the air-fuel ratio (which is indicative of the mixing ratio of air and fuel) is detected, and we believe that combustion is controlled based on it. As means for that purpose, there is proposed an image measurement detection apparatus for the air-fuel ratio distribution in a flame, which includes a camera for receiving visible light emerging from the flame, and a camera for calculating the air-fuel ratio from the image thus obtained image pro...
