Surprisingly, the substrates treated with low molecular weight short-chain fluoroalkyl (meth)acrylate copolymers were in the same range as the substrates treated with high molecular weight long-chain fluoroalkyl acrylate copolymers.

Test the oil and water repellency of the treated substrate. The results are listed in Table 7.

[0141] The results show that by using hydrocarbon extenders, the oil and dynamic water repellency properties of the substrate treated with the fluorochemical copolymer are improved. High dynamic water repellency can be obtained.
