Description

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION [0001] The present invention relates to probes and primers for quantification of Lactobacillus species. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION [0002] Generally, the intestinal flora of human milk-fed infants is primarily composed of the genus Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus. The genera Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus are considered to be important in maintaining a well-balanced intestinal microbiota and it has been postulated that they have several health-promoting effects.
