[0062]The efficacy of exemplary film forming compositions (1)-(5) for preventing the formation of caries or tooth decay was evaluated in vitro via pH cycling. Particularly, the efficacy of the film forming compositions (1)-(5) on the loss of surface microhardness or surface microhardness loss (SMHL) was evaluated. The test film forming compositions (1)-(5) were prepared by combining the ingredients / components according to Table 1.
