A compact, ergonomic, pocket-sized bottle opener having a thin, generally flat body. The bottom edge of the body includes a jaw opening and at least one area for receiving a lifting finger. A plug of resiliently yielding material is mounted in the finger-receiving area to cushion the lifting finger. The invention discloses a device for automatically opening a cap of a vacuum blood collection container. The device comprises a frame, a pull rod, an uncapping hook, a push rod mechanism and an ejector rod, wherein the pull rod is horizontally arranged on the frame and matched with the frame in a way of linearly sliding to and fro, the uncapping hook is hinged to the pull rod, the push rod mechanism is arranged on the frame for pushing the reciprocating motion of the pull rod, and the ejector rod is arranged on the frame for ejecting the uncapping hook and driving the uncapping hook to rotate when the pull rod moves. According to the device for automatically opening the cap of the vacuum blood collection container, disclosed by the invention, the pull rod is pushed by the push rod mechanism so as to drive the uncapping hook on the pull rod to move toward the ejector rod and rotate under the blocking action of the ejector rod, the uncapping hook rotates so as to push a seal cap of the vacuum blood collection container to move upward and realize opening, the opening process is automatically finished, the work efficiency is high, and meanwhile the consistency and the accuracy of each motion of the uncapping hook can be ensured by the push rod mechanism and the ejector rod. Therefore, the opening quality can be ensured, the vacuum blood collection container cannot be damaged, and the potential safety hazards of container breakage, person injury, pollution and the like can be avoided.

A beverage container opener which includes a housing having a holding surface and a first operational part is disclosed. The operational part includes a first gripping member for engaging at least a first portion of a circumference of a bottle cap and a second gripping member for engaging a different second circumferential portion of the bottle cap. A slider is actuable by the user from at least the holding surface to effect relative movement between the first and second gripping member towards each other to engage the circumference of the bottle cap therebetween. The rotation of the housing while the first and second gripping members engage the bottle cap, thereby facilitating rotation of the bottle cap by providing greater torque forces thereon.
