Embodiment Construction

[0018] For purposes of summarizing the invention, certain aspects, advantages and novel features of the invention are described herein. It should be understood that not necessarily all such advantages can be achieved in accordance with any one particular embodiment of the invention. Therefore, the invention is not intended to be limited to the particular embodiments disclosed.

[0019] see figure 2 , the present invention is that erbium-doped fiber 10, 980nm pump 12, 980 / 1556 wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) 11 constitute fiber amplifier 1; 3dB coupler and a small section of single-mode fiber constitute nonlinear optical loop mirror 3; 8 : 2 fiber coupler 9, high-dispersion single-mode fiber 7 and low-dispersion single-mode dispersion-shifted fiber 8 are spliced to form a nonlinear optical loop mirror 2. The pump laser emitted by the 980nm pump source 12 is coupled by a wavelength division multiplexer 11 into the vibration cavity. The laser pumping the stimulated ra...

Abstract

The invention disclose a 'percent sign' counter passive mode-locking optical fiber laser, comprising an optical fiber amplifier and two non-linear optical fiber ring mirrors, wherein the two non-linear optical fiber ring mirrors are welded at an input port and an output port of the optical fiber amplifier to form a 'percent sign' counter structure. The two non-linear optical fiber ring mirrors and the optical fiber amplifier compose a F-P cavity which can realize an optical pulse output with stable line width; through the output of the non-linear optical fiber ring mirrors and by launching a feedback loop technology, the optical pulse output with stable line width can be realized; configurations of the non-linear optical fiber ring mirrors enable the light transited in the ring counter clockwise and clockwise to obtain different non-linear phase shift when reaching a coupler, only a phase shift difference rate of the central wavelength reaching pi first and a starting mode-locking forms.

Description

Technical field [0001] The invention proposes a scheme of a nonlinear optical fiber loop mirror, relates to a mode-locked fiber laser, specifically a "%" cavity passive mode-locked fiber laser, and belongs to the field of optoelectronic technology. Background technique [0002] Fiber lasers are widely used in the fields of optical fiber communication and optical fiber sensing technology due to their advantages such as small size, high light-to-light conversion efficiency, and good beam quality. Fiber lasers can be F-P cavity, ring cavity and "8" cavity, etc. The "8" cavity passively mode-locked fiber laser has a big defect that limits its use. The repetition frequency of passive mode-locked pulses in the "8" cavity cannot be controlled at all and will vary in a wide range. In a typical situation, several pulses circulate in the laser cavity at the same time, and the spacing between them does not have to be uniform. This is different from the case of active mode locking. A...
