Abstract

The invention provides an anti-leakage tire and preparation method thereof. A gelatin elastic material, which is a blend of vulcanized rubber, thermoplastic elastomer and resin, is applied on the inner surface of the anti-leakage tire. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) adding raw materials into a reaction kettle, stirring while heating, and dispersing to obtain a uniform and flowable blend; (2) adjusting the temperature of the blend; and (3) transporting to the sprinkler of a metering pump by a transport pump, and spraying on the bottom of the inner wall of the tire to form a uniform elastomer coating with a thickness of 3 to 5 mm and with self-sealing performance. The test shows that the tire pressure is normal and no leakage is present when the tire having 10 iron nails pinned therein experiences 3,000 miles high-speed running in high-temperature and low-temperature environment.
