Abstract

The invention provides a nematic liquid crystal composite, which comprises a nematic liquid crystal compound expressed by a chemical formula I, wherein, R1 is an alkyl of 0-12 carbon atoms; one or two non-adjacent groups can be substituted by -CH equal to CH-; L1 and L2 are independent H or F, the content of which is 5-40%. The composite has excellent performance and very low total response time (ttot equals to ton plus toff). In particular, at low temperatures, e.g. -20 DEG C, the composite still has very good response. Besides, the composite has a very steep electro-distortion curve and very good temperature and frequency dependence and can be applied to high-loop-quantity STN-LCD of more than 128 loops.
