Abstract

Provided is a display device having a plurality of optical sensors on a display panel. A liquid crystal panel (11) having a built-in sensor includes a plurality of pixel circuits and a plurality of optical sensors which are two-dimensionally arranged in a pixel array (18). A panel driving circuit (17) writes a signal on the pixel circuit corresponding to display data (D3), and reads out signals from the optical sensors corresponding to a receiving light quantity. An image processing section (12) switches display data to be used prior to reading out the signals by the panel driving circuit (17) to fixed data suitable for image input. As the fixed data, white image data and blue image data are used. Image input and touch position detection can be performed at a high accuracy, irrespective of the display image, by eliminating influence of the display image by inputting the image after displaying the image suitable for image input by using the fixed data. The display device can be used for a liquid crystal display device.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a display device, especially a display device with a plurality of light sensors arranged on a display panel. Background technique [0002] In recent years, electronic devices that can be operated by touching a screen with a finger, a pen, or the like have become widespread. Also, as a method of detecting a touch position on a display screen, a method of providing a plurality of photosensors on a display panel and using the photosensors to detect an image formed when a finger or the like approaches the screen is known. As a method for detecting images, when the illuminance of external light is low (the surrounding is dark), it is difficult to distinguish the image from the background in the image obtained by the optical sensor, and the touch position cannot be accurately detected. Therefore, there is also known a method in which a display device including a backlight detects a reflected image when the backlight reaches ...
