Abstract

The invention discloses methods for encoding and decoding an observed value file of a global positioning system (GPS), and mainly aims at management of data transmission and data storage in a network system of a high-frequency sampling large-size reference station. In the methods, a plurality of epoch data are used as a storage unit stored into a single module; in each single module, the epochs of an original file corresponding to the single module are processed by a secondary subtraction method so as to finally form a compressed data sequence to replace the position of the corresponding data in the original file. By adopting the technical scheme, the compression ratio is within 5 percent; as to the file compression in a network real time kinematic (RTK) system, the method is quick and efficient; and the pressure of a data link for transmitting the data is relieved and the cost for data transmission is reduced.
