Abstract

The invention provides a novel medicine for preventing and treating asthma, which is Bordetella pertussis CpG-ODNs (CpG oligodeoxynucleotides) with a sequence as shown by SEQIDNO.1. The Bordetella pertussis CpG-ODNs (seqA) can inhibit inflammatory response of the asthma and prevent or control asthmatic attack. With generation of signal transduction by using a TLR-9 (Toll-like Receptor) signal molecule and Th1/Th2 (T helper 1/ T helper 2) unbalance as theoretical basis, effects of the seqA on adjustments of asthma related cell factors and inhibition of airway inflammation are found in the invention. The invention breaks through a traditional asthma treatment method of using inflammation prevention and relaxation of an airway smooth muscle as a target point and establishes a new way with asthma control as main, thereby building up a new way for controlling asthmatic attack and preventing the asthma.
