Abstract

The cast charge is potassium hydrogen terephthalate prepared by mixing terephthalic acid and potassium hydroxide in water to generate a chemical reaction. The cast charge is applied to production of the firework propellant, wherein the firework propellant is prepared by mixing the following components in percentage by weight: 60-70% of potassium perchlorate, 25-35% of cast charge and 2-5% of adhesive and pelletizing a mixture through a sugar coating machine. During the production of the cast charge disclosed by the invention, raw materials are not directly mixed with a strong oxidant, thus very safe production and transportation of the cast charge are realized; when the cast charge is applied to production of the firework propellant, as long as the cast charge is mixed with the potassium perchlorate and the adhesive before the production and is not mechanically machined and the cast charge is not directly stored and conveyed for a long time, potential safety hazard is greatly reduced; in addition, the usage amount of the firework propellant produced by the cast charge disclosed by the invention is only 6g and is 60% of that of a traditional firework propellant, thus the cost is reduced.
