Embodiment Construction

[0020] On October 20, 2010, the pecan seeds with thin shells were harvested, the variety was ‘Weston’, dried for 5 days, and 900 seeds that were plump and free from diseases and insect pests were selected, and stored in a mesh bag in a refrigerator at 4 °C;

[0021] On December 13, the seeds were taken out from the refrigerator, soaked in 5000 times potassium permanganate aqueous solution for 10 minutes, and rinsed with running water;

[0022] Put the seeds on GA at 150 ppm 3 Soak in the medium and replace with a new solution every day;

[0023] On December 18, the residual GA on the surface of the seeds was washed with running water 3 , spread the seeds on the germination bed, cover with soil and straw, and make a shed, adjust the temperature of the germination bed to 30 ℃, keep the water content of the germination bed at 80% of the maximum water holding capacity of the soil, and control the air humidity in the shed at 70%~80%.

[0024] According to statistics on December 2...

Abstract

Belonging to the technical field of plant seedling raising, the invention discloses a germination accelerating method for Carya illinoensis (Wangenn.) K. Koch seeds. The method mainly comprises: conducting surface sterilization on the seeds with 5000 times of potassium permanganate; and immersing the seeds in150ppm of GA3 for 5d to break seed dormancy; then using an electrothermal wire for heating, and controlling a germination bed at a temperature of 30DEG C for germination accelerating under constant temperature. The air humidity is maintained at 70%-80% during the germination accelerating period, and the water content of the germination bed matrix accounts for 80% of the maximum water-holding capacity of soil. After one week, 10% of the seeds germinate. After two weeks, 70% of the seeds germinate, and after three weeks, 90% of the seeds germinate. The invention aims to provide a constant-temperature germination accelerating technology for Carya illinoensis (Wangenn.) K. Koch seeds. Especially under the condition of a low ground temperature during early spring, application of the technology can make Carya illinoensis (Wangenn.) K. Koch seedling raising two months earlier than conventional open field seedling raising, thus greatly shortening the seedling raising cycle and reducing the seedling raising cost. At the same time, the emergence rate and the uniformity are improved, and the seedling quality is also guaranteed.

Description

[0001] technical field [0002] The invention relates to a method for accelerating germination of pecan seeds, belonging to the technical field of plant seedling cultivation. Background technique [0003] Shelled Pecans [ Carya illinoensis (Wangenn.) K. Koch], also known as long hickory, is a deciduous tree of the Juglandaceae Hickory genus. Especially under the background of my country's vigorous development of woody oil tree species, it has more economic value and development potential, and the domestic and international markets have broad prospects. [0004] my country has introduced pecans with thin shells since the end of the nineteenth century, but most of them are scattered and scattered, and large-scale planting has not been realized. In recent years, with people's continuous understanding of its planting potential, there has been an upsurge of scale development, and the demand for seedlings has increased sharply. And thin-shell hickory is still propagating ro...
