Abstract

The illuminometer comprises a cosine corrector, a calibrating light-emitting diode (LED) integrating red light, green light and white light, a photo battery, a light collector, a coupling lens, an optical fiber, a flat field concave face diffraction grating, a linear array sensor, a signal processor and a liquid crystal display (LCD) display screen. The portable light splitting color illuminometer aims at measuring illumination and spectral power distribution, color coordinate, color temperature and color rendering index of a light source to be measured on the lighted face. A calibration light source is composed of a red light LED, a green light LED and a white light LED and is used for calibrating wavelength and energy that a linear array sensor corresponds to. A tapered light collector improves signal to noise ratio of the instrument. Light power collected by each pixel of the array sensor is obtained by the multiple linear regression mathematic relation. The portable light splitting color illuminometer is wide in measurement range, high in accuracy and capable of being widely applied to lighting engineering.
