Abstract

The invention discloses an ultra-wideband (UWB) planar monopole antenna with reconfigurable trap characteristic. The UWB planar monopole antenna with the reconfigurable trap characteristic comprises a dielectric substrate (1), and a metal coating and two micro electronic mechanical system (MEMS) switches which are positioned on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate (1). The metal coating comprises a radiation unit (2), a coplanar waveguide feeder (3) and a coplanar waveguide floor, wherein the coplanar waveguide floor comprises a first coplanar waveguide floor (7) and a second coplanar waveguide floor (8); and the radiation unit (2) forms a C-like groove (4) by etching. The antenna provided by the invention has a simple and compact structure and can switch the trap characteristic of the antenna by controlling on and off of the two MEMS switches so as to effectively work on the UWB frequency band, and realize generation or disappearance of a trap frequency band, thus improving the utilization ratio of the frequency band and the communication efficiency.
