The stiffness characteristic testing method of the air spring includes the following steps of fixing a first end of the air spring on a platform of a microprocessor control electro-hydraulic servo fatigue testing machine; adjusting interior air pressure of the air spring and enabling the interior air pressure to reach a first set air pressure value; by means of a chuck of the testing machine, stretching a second end of the air spring until the second end of the air spring reaches a designated position and fixing the second end of the air spring; adjusting the interior air pressure of the air spring and enabling the interior air pressure to reach a second set air pressure value; by means of the chuck of the testing machine, stretching the second end of the air spring for a set length and enabling the second end of the air spring to stay for a time; downward compressing the air spring at a set speed, reading internal pressure value, loading value and the maximum outer diameter of the air spring and recording the internal pressure value, loading value and the maximum outer diameter of the air spring when the air spring deforms for a set distance, and recording the maximum outer diameter of the air spring when the air spring is compressed for the maximum distance; and organizing data and analyzing a result.
