After the preliminary tracking is realized, an optical system is utilized to improve sensitivity of the sensor; the microcomputer carries out processing on a signal of a four-quadrant detector and control data are outputted; and fine tuning is carried out on the orientation of the heat collecting surface, thereby achieving an objective of sun position tracking with high precision. On the basis of detection of the sum of voltage values sensed by the four photodiodes, the sensor can carry out mutual switching between a working state and a non-working state with changing of illumination intensity, so that the sensor does not work at night and in rainy weather and only works under the circumstances of enough illumination intensity.
