The invention further provides a corresponding JPEG image and wavelet compression image conversion system, and corresponding method and system for converting the wavelet compression image into the JPEG image. According to the invention, the efficiency of image transcoding can be significantly improved; the conversion time is reduced; and the methods and the systems are suitable for fast conversion between mass JPEG images and wavelet compression images.
