Abstract

The invention discloses a cigarette-use styrax extract and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: (1) dried styrax is crushed into blocks with sizes of 2-10mm; (2) 50-250 parts by weight of the crushed styrax, 3-15 parts by weight of fructose, and 0.3-1.5 parts by weight of acetic acid are added into 300-1500 parts by weight of a 70-95% ethanol solution, and are soaked for 4-8h; reflux extraction is carried out for 2-5h under heating; and cooling and filtering are carried out after extraction; and (3) a filtrate is concentrated to a same weight as of styrax, such that the extract is obtained. The invention also discloses a cigarette containing the cigarette-use styrax extract. The cigarette has rich cigarette aroma, strong sweetness, low smoke dryness, and weak spiciness and irritation. Harmful substances benzo[a]pyrene and phenol in smoke are substantially reduced.
