The service request processing method comprises the steps that a service request from a client is received; the received service request is forwarded to a service server which processes the service request; whether asynchronous processing is carried out for the service request is determined; if asynchronous processing is carried out for the service request, a response with an asynchronous processing instruction is sent to the client; and if asynchronous processing is not carried out for the service request, the response which is returned by the service server for the service request is sent to the client.
