The alloy is characterized by comprising 4%-6% of Zn by mass, 4%-6% of Sn by mass, 1%-2.2% of Bi by mass, 1%-2% of Fe by mass, 0.1%-0.5% of Mn by mass, 0.5%-1.5% of Si by mass, 0.02%-0.1% of rare earth by mass and the balance of Cu and inevitable impurities. The invention further provides a method for preparing a pipe from the Pb-free tin bronze alloy and the pipe prepared with the method. With the adoption of the tin bronze alloy, usage of the Pb element toxic to human bodies is avoided, meanwhile, mechanical properties are improved to a certain extent, the alloy can completely replace traditional Pb-containing tin bronze alloy materials to be applied to production of elastic components and wear-resistant parts.
