The alpiniae oxyphyllae fructus is used for warming the spleen, stopping diarrhea, reducing saliva, warming the kidneys, reducing urination and securing essence; the radices trichosanthis is used for clearing heat, engendering liquid, moistening the lung for removing phlegm, reducing swelling and expelling pus; the cherokee rose fruits are used for securing essence, reducing urination and astringing intestines to stop vaginal discharge; rhizoma curculiginis is used for warming the kidneys, tonifying yang, removing cold dampness; the tassel is used for dispersing wind, clearing heat, descending qi and reducing phlegm; the fructus cannabis is used for moistening dryness, lubricating the intestines, relieving stranguria by diuresis and activating blood circulation; and the bark of engelhardia roxburghiana is used for promoting qi circulation, resolving dampness, guiding stagnation, and securing essence.
