Abstract
The invention discloses an application of 2,2-dimethyl-3-(nitrooxy) propanoic acid to preparation of a methane bacteria inhibitor. The invention further discloses an application of 2,2-dimethyl-3-(nitrooxy) propanoic acid as an animal feed additive. Compared with a methane bacteria inhibitor in the prior art, the methane bacteria inhibitor effectively prevents methane generation and has better long-term effect, safety and microorganism tolerance.
Description
technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of feed additives, and in particular relates to the application of 2,2 dimethyl-3-(nitrooxy)propionic acid. Background technique [0002] Rumen methanogenesis not only leads to 5-7% ruminant feed energy loss, but also an important source of greenhouse gases. Sheep produce an average of 10-16kg of methane per year, and cattle produce an average of 60-160kg. Therefore, the research and application of methane inhibitors for ruminants can not only improve the energy utilization efficiency and production performance of animals, but also have good ecological benefits. Although various feed additives (such as natural plant extracts, ionophores, polyhalogen compounds, electron acceptors, oils, etc.) have been researched and developed, they all have different problems, such as long-term effect, safety and issues of microbial tolerance. These drawbacks limit the wide application of existing additives. Nitrate is a rumen meth...
