The vanadium battery electrolyte containing inorganic molybdate can be taken as a cathode electrolyte of the vanadium battery. According to the invention, the inorganic molybdate is taken as the cathode electrolyte additive, so that the stability of the cathode electrolyte is increased and the running temperature scope of the vanadium battery is widened.
