Abstract

Provided is a green data center temperature-aware server management strategy, which is characterized by carrying out data center energy consumption modeling and setting constraint conditions, wherein modeling comprises server system energy consumption modeling and refrigerating system energy consumption modeling, and the constraint conditions comprise a user service quality constraint and a server temperature constraint; and under the constraint conditions, sum of server system energy consumption and refrigerating system energy consumption is allowed to be minimum. The invention also provides a specific temperature and server management solution algorithm. Compared with an existing green data center energy-saving algorithm, the green data center temperature-aware server management strategy has the advantages that a machine room refrigerating system is included in an energy consumption model, and refined description of data center total energy consumption is realized; then, the algorithm ensures user service quality and server CPU temperature; and finally, through main decomposition technology, the data center total energy consumption minimization problem is decomposed into a temperature control regulator part and a user resource distribution agent part, a high-extendibility distributed algorithm is provided, and the data center total energy consumption is reduced effectively.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the technical field of data center energy saving, and in particular relates to a temperature-aware server management strategy of a green data center. Background technique [0002] At present, a series of Internet services including social networking and e-commerce are experiencing unprecedented development, and cloud computing technology plays a key role in the development of the Internet. As the infrastructure of cloud computing technology, many large-scale data centers provide a reliable and scalable platform for various forms of Internet services. [0003] However, the operation of large-scale data centers has exposed a problem that cannot be ignored-high energy consumption. According to Greenbiz, some modern data centers owned by Google, Microsoft and Facebook, with tens of thousands of servers, consume between 1% and 3% of the world's total electricity consumption. Some literature pointed out that from 2005 to 2010, with...
