A method for preparing a corrugated paper binding agent by using corn starch, relating to the technical field of package materials, comprises the following steps of preparing raw materials, wherein the raw materials comprises the following components in parts by weight: the corn starch, caustic soda, high solid catalyst, borax, a de-foaming agent, sodium hypochlorite, water, industrial grade hydrogen peroxide and potassium permanganate; adding water into a reaction still, heating to 60 to 70 DEG C, then adding the corn starch, and uniformly stirring for 3 to 5 minutes for gelatinization; dissolving the sodium hypochlorite, the hydrogen peroxide and the potassium permanganate with 5 to 10 times of water, and adding into the reaction still for stirring for 5 to 20 minutes; dissolving the caustic soda with 3 to 5 times of cold water, adding into the reaction still, and stirring for 20 to 40 minutes; dissolving the borax and the de-foaming agent with 6 to 10 times of boiled water, adding into the reaction still, stirring for 3 to 5 minutes, and standing for 2 to 4 minutes; adding the high solid catalyst into the reaction still and uniformly stirring.
