According to an information processing mechanism in an immune system, an immune network theory in an artificial immune system is introduced into a production scheduling system to design an unique network based immune scheduling algorithm; a unique network for optimal scheduling rules is establishedaccording to the unique network theory, an effective antibody structure and an antigenic structure are defined, and an optimal scheduling rule and a current workshop state are defined as antibodies while a workshop state is defined as an antigen; a process of solving scheduling problems through the immune scheduling algorithm is explained through antibody and antigen matching, calculation of affinity of the antibodies, antibody concentration calculation and antibody selection. The immune network theory based production scheduling optimization algorithm is far superior to other single heuristic rule scheduling algorithms and shows efficiency and effectiveness of the immune scheduling algorithm in processing of multi-target dynamic scheduling problems.
