Problems solved by technology

The bacteria stored inside the seeds have high stress resistance, longer survival time, and stronger ability to spread diseases. At the same time, the bacteria stored inside the seeds make it difficult to detect and treat the seeds
At present, the seed transfer to prevent watermelon bacterial fruit spot is mainly through post-harvest fermentation and treatment of seeds with hydrochloric acid, Physan 20, Tsunami100, etc., but the treatment affects the germination rate, especially for triploid seedless watermelon seeds
Although the soaking of dry seeds in warm soup and treatment with copper preparations can reduce the incidence of seedling disease, they cannot completely remove pathogenic bacteria. Relying on agricultural antibiotics and copper preparations has limited effect on disease control at seedling stage, and it is easy to lead to the emergence of bacterial resistance

Abstract

The invention discloses a method and a special seed fungicide for preventing and controlling bacterial fruit blotch of melons. The method comprises the step of soaking seeds with zinc pyrithione. Experiments show that zinc pyrithione can effectively remove acidovorax citrulli from the outside and inside of the seeds of cucurbitaceae crops (such as watermelons and muskmelons), and can be absorbed by seedlings during seed germination, so that the acidovorax citrulli spread between the seeds and the seedlings is reduced, the emergence incidence rate of the seeds carrying the acidovorax citrulli is effectively inhibited, and the purpose of preventing and controlling the bacterial fruit blotch of the melons is achieved; furthermore, the zinc pyrithione does not affect seed germination and seedling growth; the zinc pyrithione has no significant effect on the growth of plant growth promoting rhizosphere bacteria (such as pseudomonas fluorescens and bacillus subtilis) while inhibiting the growth of pathogens (such as bacterial canker of tomato and xanthomonas campestris pv.campertris). The zinc pyrithione can be used as a seed bactericide for production and promotion. The method and the special seed fungicide have an important application value.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the field of biotechnology, and in particular relates to a method for preventing and controlling bacterial fruit spot of melons and a special seed fungicide thereof. Background technique [0002] Bacterial fruit blotch (BFB for short) of melons, also known as bacterial fruit rot, is a devastating disease that can cause production reduction or even failure of watermelons and melons, and is also a worldwide quarantine disease. BFB is caused by Acidovorax citrulli, which has the characteristics of rapid onset, rapid transmission, strong explosive power, and severe damage. Agricultural production safety poses a serious threat. Since the outbreak of melon bacterial fruit spot disease in watermelon fields in the United States in the 1990s, the disease has spread rapidly in many countries around the world in the past two decades, mainly due to the seed transmission of watermelon acidophilus and Related to the increasingly frequent i...
