Abstract

The invention discloses a method for improving sensitivity of detection of MALDI-TOF-MS to polystyrene (PS) micro / nano-particles through high temperature processing. The method is characterized by carrying out high temperature processing (380 DEG C) on the PS micro / nano-particles of different molecular weights, and mixing with a dithranol (DI) matrix solution and a silver nitrate (AgNO3 ) ionizingreagent and dropping on a stainless steel MALDI target plate; using a MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer to measure, using a characteristic peak of the PS micro / nano-particles to determine the nature in a range of 0-5000 m / z, and constructing a work curve by selecting a characteristic peak-to-peak value with m / z of 315.4 so as to carry out semi-quantitative analysis on the PS micro / nano-particles. By using the method, a signal value of an MALDI-TOF-MS characteristic peak of the PS micro / nano-particles is effectively improved, and qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis is realized.
