Abstract

An accelerating rate calorimeter comprises an insulated furnace body and a microwave generator for emitting microwaves. The insulated furnace body comprises a cavity and a heating layer surrounding the cavity, wherein the heating layer has a microwave guiding port configured to guide the microwaves generated by the microwave generator into the cavity to heat the heating layer to a first temperature T1. The cavity is further provided therein with a thermal resistor and a sample holder for holding a sample. The thermal resistor is inserted into the sample and heats the sample to a second temperature T2. The first temperature T1 and the second temperature T2 are equal to each other in order to form a thermal insulation environment around the sample. The material of the heating layer is one or more of silicon carbide ceramic, graphite, and ferrite. The accelerating rate calorimeter provided by the invention heats the silicon carbide ceramic by microwave radiation, so that the temperature of the adiabatic cavity is consistent with the temperature of the sample, thereby achieving a good thermal insulation effect.
