The gear wheel comprises a first member (2) having a body (3) for receiving a shaft and gear teeth (4) for engagement with a further gearwheel, and a second member (5) having a ring-shaped portion (6) and teeth (7) for engagement with a rotating component. The first member (2) and the second member (5) are rotationally locked relativeto each other by means of an engagement means (8) for transferring torque between the first member (2) and the second member (5). The ring-shaped portion (6) has a protrusion (9) protruding in an axial direction (30) in parallel with a rotational axis (10) of the gear wheel and the body (3) has an undercut (11) receiving the protrusion (9).
