Abstract

The invention relates to the field of femtosecond optical fiber lasers, and discloses an 8-shaped femtosecond optical fiber laser which comprises a main optical fiber loop and a nonlinear optical fiber loop which are connected through a four-port optical fiber coupler. The main optical fiber loop comprises a first optical fiber collimator, a first transmission grating, a second transmission grating, a second optical fiber collimator, an output optical fiber coupler, a first wavelength division multiplexer, a first ytterbium-doped optical fiber and an isolator which are arranged in sequence; the first pumping semiconductor laser is connected with the first wavelength division multiplexer through the first pumping protector; the nonlinear optical fiber loop comprises a second gain optical fiber and a second wavelength division multiplexer which are arranged in sequence; the second pumping semiconductor laser is connected with the second wavelength division multiplexer through a second pumping protector; the one-way grating pair is additionally arranged in a main optical fiber loop of the laser and is combined with the collimator, so that the effects of adjusting dispersion, limiting spectral bandwidth and adjusting central wavelength are achieved, output femtosecond laser has shorter pulse width, and the central wavelength is tunable.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention relates to the field of femtosecond fiber lasers, in particular to a figure-eight femtosecond fiber laser. Background technique [0002] Femtosecond laser refers to the pulse width in femtoseconds (10 -15 s) order of pulsed lasers. Compared with traditional continuous laser and long-pulse laser, femtosecond laser has the characteristics of extremely short pulse width, high peak power, and wide coherent spectrum. Research fields, as well as national production fields such as material precision processing, are being widely used. [0003] Femtosecond lasers are mainly generated by mode-locked lasers. Mode-locked lasers are mainly divided into mode-locked solid-state lasers and mode-locked fiber lasers. Compared with femtosecond mode-locked solid-state lasers, femtosecond mode-locked fiber lasers have become a powerful way to achieve large-scale applications of femtosecond lasers due to their compact size, high stability, easy control of ...
