Problems solved by technology

This problem is usually solved with reactor blends also known as intimate blends (compositions comprising two or more polymers produced in the same reactor or in a series of reactors), but finding ways to operate in the same environment Catalyst systems to generate different polymers a challenge

Embodiment 1-4

[1278] With racemic-dimethyl·dimethylsilylbis(2-methyl-4-phenylindenyl)zirconium and dimethyl·dimethylsilyl(tetramethylcyclopentadiene base) (cyclododecylamino)titanium was prepared at a temperature of 115°C in a range of catalyst ratios to prepare 4 samples. Polymerization was carried out according to the general procedure described above. The detailed experimental conditions and results are given in Table 1.

Embodiment 5-8

[1281] With racemic-dimethyl·dimethylsilylbis(2-methyl-4-phenylindenyl)zirconium and dimethyl·dimethylsilyl(tetramethylcyclopentadiene base) (tert-butylamino) titanium at a temperature of 100 ° C in the range of catalyst ratio to prepare 4 samples. Polymerization was carried out according to the general procedure described above. The detailed experimental conditions and results are given in Table 2.

Embodiment 9-15

[1284] Using dimethyl dimethylsilyl bis(indenyl) hafnium and dimethyl dimethylsilyl (tetramethylcyclopentadienyl) (cyclododecylamino) titanium in Seven samples were prepared in a certain temperature range with a catalyst ratio of about 80.0mol%. Polymerization was carried out according to the general procedure described above. The detailed experimental conditions and results are given in Table 3. These data show that temperature has a significant effect on crystallinity, Mw, Mw / Mn and amount of branching. The total amount can be controlled by the reaction temperature, since the reaction kinetics of each catalyst responds uniquely to the polymerization temperature.

Abstract

Particular embodiments of the present invention are directed to articles comprising polymers comprising one or more C3-40 olefins, optionally one or more dienes, and less than 5 mole percent ethylene, which dot T-peel The force is 1 Newton or higher, the branching index (g') measured at the Mz of the polymer is 0.95 or lower, and the Mw is 100,000 or lower. The present invention also relates to a method for producing an olefin polymer, comprising: 1) selecting a first catalyst component capable of producing a polymer having a Mw of 100,000 or less and a crystallinity of 20% or less; 2) selecting the a second catalyst component that produces a polymer having a Mw of 100,000 or less and a crystallinity of 40% or more; and 3) combining said catalyst component with one or more activators in the presence of one or more activators C3-40 olefins are contacted in the reaction zone.
