The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) taking coumarin, synthetic oak moss and methyl dihydrojasmonate, heating and stirring until the materials are dissolved to obtain a first mixture; (2) uniformly stirring iso-methyl ionone, clear wood, musk T, firsantol, isoamyl o-hydroxybenzoate and a mixture with the first mixture to obtain a second mixture; and (3) refluxing and standing the second mixture to obtain the fragrance fixing composition for chypre fragrance. The fragrance fixing composition for chypre fragrance can be used for essence and has the advantage of keeping the smell stable; and the preparation method disclosed by the invention has the advantage that the chypre fragrance is stable.
