Beta-cyclodextrin is used as a wall material to respectively encapsulate the four plant essential oils consisting of anethole, cinnaldehyde, citral and salicylaldehyde, so four plant essential oil microcapsules are obtained; then the four plant essential oil microcapsules are mixed in proportion and then are applied for mildew-resistance and preservation of grains or oil-bearing materials or for mildew-resistance and preservation of raw-food materials and packaged foods. The mildew-resistant antistaling agent inhibits mould through gas-phase fumigating effects of the essential oils and employs microcapsule technology for controlling of volatilization speeds of the essential oils, so a long-acting gas-phase mildew-resistant effect is realized without direct contact between the essential oils with grains, foodstuffs and the like; the mildew-resistant antistaling agent is especially applicable to antibiosis and mildew-resistance of grains, oil-bearing materials and packaged foods under the conditions of high temperature and high humidity, can suppress deterioration of quality of the grains, the oil-bearing materials and the packaged foods, is safe to human beings and livestock and is capable of effectively overcoming the problem of residual of a chemical fumigant.

Method for preserving litchi by using plant essential oil

The invention discloses a method for preserving litchi by using plant essential oil. The method comprises the following steps: selecting the litchi fruit which is harvested in sunny day, 80%-90% matured, and free from mechanical damage and diseases and insect pests; soaking the litchi fruit in a 25-500 mu L / L of citral or clove leaf oil solution for 0.5-5 minutes; and then precooling, packing andstoring the soaked litchi fruit, wherein after harvesting, the litchi fruit disease mainly comprises fugus diseases such as peronophythora litchi, sour rot, anthracnose and the like, and enzymatic browning of the phenolic compounds and the degradation / discoloration of the anthocyanin are one of the main reasons causing the peel browning. In the method, the litchi fruit which is harvested in proper time and good in state is soaked in the citral or clove leaf oil solution so as to effectively inhibit the fruit rot and the peel browning of the litchi fruit and maintain the quality of the fruit; and in a low temperature condition, the litchi fruit treated by the method disclosed by the invention in completely good condition is more than 95% after 30 days, the control to the peel browning is good, and the original quality of the fruit can be basically maintained.

Aromachemicals

Improved aromachemical derivatives, and fragrances and flavorings including the derivatives, that have a longer useful shelf life than the aromachemicals from which they can be derived, are disclosed. In particular, the derivatives maintain the fragrance characteristics of the aromachemicals, while lowering the allergic properties, increasing the stability, and/or increasing the odor intensity. Also disclosed are methods of making the derivatives, and articles of manufacture including the derivatives. In one embodiment, the derivatives are prepared by replacing one or more double bonds in citral with a thioether, cyclopropyl, oxirane, or thiirane group. The cyclopropane ring can be unsubstituted, or substituted with one or two lower alkyl, preferably methyl groups. The alkyl groups can optionally be substituted, for example, with electron donating groups, electron with drawing groups, groups which increase the hydrophilicity or hydrophobocity, and the like. In another embodiment, the derivatives are prepared by replacing the aldehyde group in the essential oil with a nitrile, methyl ether or acetal group. The acetal groups can provide the compounds with a long lasting flavor or fragrance, where the acetals slowly hydrolyze to provide the aldehyde group in the parent essential oil. In some embodiments, both the aldehyde and at least one of the double bond functional groups are both derivatized as described herein. Examples of suitable articles of manufacture include candles, air fresheners, perfumes, disinfectant compositions, hypochlorite (bleach) compositions, beverages such as beer and soda, denture cleanser tablets and flavored orally-delivered products such as lozenges, candies, and the like.
