The invention relates to a confinedly-assembled thermoelectric composite material and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: mixing loofah sponge fibers with an alkaline solution and an aqueous solution of an oxidant 1 in sequence; after treatment, washing the loofah sponge fibers with water until the loofah sponge fibers are neutral and carrying out drying; then adding the loofah sponge fibers into an aqueous solution of a pyrrole monomer; then adding a morphology control agent, an oxidizing agent 2, a complexing agent and PEDOT: PSS and a dispersant thereof,carrying out a hydrothermal reaction and irradiation treatment at the same time to obtain conductive loofah sponge fibers; fully mixing the conductive loofah sponge fibers with a liquid high-molecularpolymer precursor under ultrasonic treatment and vacuumizing treatment conditions; and carrying out heating and heat-preserved curing to obtain the confinedly-assembled thermoelectric composite material. The material disclosed by the invention has a relatively high seebeck coefficient and a thermoelectric figure of merit; polypyrrole generated in situ and the added PEDOT: PSS have synergistic effect, so the conductivity and mechanical properties of the material can be remarkably improved; and the composite material is relatively low in thermal conductivity and has very good thermoelectric properties.
