Embodiment 1

Preparation of thermosensitive recording materials

[0103] (1) Preparation of Coating Liquid for Thermosensitive Recording Layer

-A liquid-

10 parts of 2-anilino-3-methyl-6-(di-n-butylamino)fluoran

10 parts of 10% itaconic acid modified PVA aqueous solution

30 parts of water

-B Liquid-

30 parts of 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenyl sulfone

Tetrabromobisphenol A 10 parts

10% itaconic acid modified PVA aqueous solution 50 parts

Silicon dioxide 15 parts

197 parts of water

[0104] Using a sand mill, A liquid and B liquid of the above formulation were each ground and dispersed to an average particle diameter of not more than 1.5 μm, thereby preparing a dye dispersion (A liquid) and a developer dispersion (B liquid).

[0105] Subsequently, by mixing and stirring the following two liquids, a coating liquid (C liquid) for the thermosensitive recording layer was prepared.

-C Liquid-

Dye dispersion (A liquid) 50 parts

Color developer dispersion (B liquid) 292 part...

Embodiment 2

[0110] The thermosensitive recording material of Example 2 was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the amount of 1% ammonia solution in E liquid was changed to 10 parts, and the coating liquid of the protective layer was adjusted to pH 8.

Embodiment 3

[0111] The thermosensitive recording material of Example 3 was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the amount of 1% ammonia solution in E liquid was changed to 0.5 parts, and the coating liquid of the protective layer was adjusted to pH6.

Abstract

A thermosensitive recording material and the method of producing the same are provided, in which the protective layer-coating liquid represents superior temporal stability, transporting ability at printing is superior even under higher temperatures and humidities and even by use of printers with lower motor torque, and also coloring property and storage property at image and background portions are excellent. The thermosensitive recording material comprises comprises at least a support, a thermosensitive recording layer and a protective layer in order, wherein the thermosensitive recording layer comprises at least a leuco dye and a color developer, and the protective layer is formed from a protective layer-coating liquid comprising at least a diacetone-modified polyvinyl alcohol, a carbodihydrazide compound and an aqueous ammonia solution.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention relates to a heat-sensitive recording material and a method for producing the same, in which a protective layer-coating liquid exhibits excellent temporal stability and transporting ability even when printing at relatively high temperature and humidity. Suitable, also, the coloring performance and storage property on the image and background parts are excellent. Background technique [0002] Thermal recording materials are typically produced by placing a thermal recording layer having essential components of a thermal coloring composition on a support such as paper, synthetic paper, and plastic film; their color images can be obtained by using a thermal head, Hot pens, lasers, and flashlights heat to develop color. These heat-sensitive recording materials can offer various advantages, for example, complicated processes such as color development and color fixing are unnecessary, images can be rapidly produced with relatively simpl...
