Impulse response collecting method, sound effect adding apparatus, and recording medium

A TSP signal that is a measurement signal is generated N times by a signal generating portion. The generated TSP signals are supplied to a steel-echo apparatus. Reverberation generated by the steel-plate echo apparatus corresponding to the TSP signals is arranged N times corresponding to the start points of the TSP signals and synchronously added by a synchronously adding portion. Generating impluse signal is convoluted by an inverse function to TSP signal. The added result of the synchronously adding portion is supplied to an impulse response converting portion. By dividing the added result by the inverse characteristics of the TSP signals, the added reverberation is converted into an impulse response. The impulse response data obtained by the converting portion is recorded to for example a CD-ROM and supplied to a reverberator. The reverberator reproduces an impulse response recorded on the CD-ROM and performs a convolution calculation process for the input signal. Thus, reverberation of the steel-plate echo apparatus can be reproduced.

Method of recording information, equipment thereof and information recording medium

ActiveUS20050078594A1Formed stably and easilyEasily and stably recording identification data of a mediumTelevision system detailsFilamentary/web record carriersData recordingRecording layer
Because conditions for recording identification data of a medium vary in accordance with the structure of different media, such as a single-layer or a multiple-layer structure, stable data recording has been a difficult task. To solve this problem, an incident side of the laser beam for recording identification data on a single-layer optical disk 5 and a double-layer optical disk 6 is the opposite side of a substrate 1 upon which user data is recorded. From this structure, even in a double-layer optical disk 6, the recording is not affected by the recording layer of a second layer 12b and the like. Therefore, in the double-layer optical disk 6, identification data of the medium can be recorded under the same conditions as the single-layer optical disk 5.

Processing digital data having variable packet lengths

When macro blocks (MB0 to MB9) each of which has a variable length are input for one picture, null syncs (NULL1 to NULL5) each of which has a unit length are generated corresponding to the format of video data to be handled. Each null sync contains length information and a data portion. The length information represents 0. The data portion is filled with data [00]. Corresponding to the length information, an overflow portion of a macro block is detected. The overflow portion is successively packed to macro blocks each of which is smaller than the unit length. Thus, each macro block is packed in the unit length. Since the length information of each null sync represents 0, the overflow portions are packed after the length information of each null sync. With null syncs, one format of video data can be matched with another format. In addition, with null syncs, overflow portions are packed. Thus, the record medium can be effectively used.
