Abstract

The basic principle includes heating the surface seawater by using solar energy, then boiling the seawater at a low temperature by reducing atmospheric pressure, and then filling the aqueous vapor in a closed container, and finally condensing the aqueous vapor into fresh water after low-temperature deep seawater cooling. At the same time when the aqueous vapor condenses in large amount, atmospheric pressure in the closed container is reduced, and low atmospheric pressure is consequently favorable for re-boiling the seawater. The process can recycle, and fresh water is continually produced accordingly.
