The invention provides a phonon band-gap ceramic plane spiral double frequency band antenna of a rectangular array in a radio frequency identification system, which has small size, capability to work in a double frequency band, large bandwidth, lower return loss and omnidirectional radiation characteristic; the antenna is provided with a ceramic base plate, both surfaces of which are plated with silver layers, wherein the plated silver layer at one surface of the ceramic base plate is a helical ribbon structure and the plated silver layer at the other surface thereof is a rectangular array photon band gap structure; the helical ribbon structure is provided with two helical arms and one connecting arm, phase difference is arranged between the two helical arms and the internal end of the two helical arms is a beginning end and the external end thereof is a stopping end; the connecting end is arranged in the center of the helical ribbon structure, the both ends of the connecting arm is connected with the beginning end of the two helical arms, the connecting arm is provided with a central hole, and a feeding point is arranged in the sides of the central hole; the rectangular arrayphonon band-gap structure is provided with four columns and two lines of rectangular patches, wherein each line is provided with two rectangular patches and each column is provided with four rectangular patches; spacing is left between each rectangular patch and the ceramic base plate.
