Abstract

The invention belongs to the environmental engineering field, and relates to the treatment of water and wastewater, the preparation of flocculant, and the like. The invention discloses a preparation method for organic-inorganic composite flocculant. The method takes sodium silicate as a raw material for preparing polysilicate inorganic polymer flocculant and mixes polysilicate solution and cationic polyacrylamide for copolymerization so as to obtain the composite flocculant. The prepared composite flocculant can exert the synergic action of the polysilicate solution and the cationic polyacrylamide. The turbidity removal rate for the composite flocculant kaolin simulation water sample reaches 90.81 percent; the turbidity removal rate by using the polysilicate flocculant is only 45.72 percent; the turbidity removal rate by using the positive polyacrylamide ion is only 56.34 percent; however, the turbidity removal rate by using the polysilicate flocculant and the positive polyacrylamide ion simutanously is 74.62 percent.
