Abstract

The invention discloses a phenolic glue production method using a phenol sodium salt to replace part of phenol. In the method, formaldehyde, phenol, the phenol sodium salt and water are used as raw materials to prepare the low-cost phenolic glue under a condition of intermediate temperature. Particularly, the phenolic glue is glue suitable to be used in a gumming process in bamboo and wood processing. The cost of the phenolic glue is low because the raw material cost of the glue is reduced by replacing about one fourth expensive phenol with the phenol sodium salt extracted from waste water from coke-oven plants of steel-making enterprises. The phenolic glue of the invention is prepared by stepwise feeding formaldehyde with an industrial purity of 37 percent, phenol with an industrial purity of 99 percent and a phenol sodium salt with an industrial purity of 22 percent into a reaction kettle at 70 to 80 DEG C. compared with the conventionally produced phenolic glue, the phenolic glue of the invention is low in cost, provides a new supporting point for the commercial operation of wastewater treatment from the coke-oven plants and contributes to the normal operation of the environment protection operation.
