(a1)

epicatechin

10g

ethanol

29g

Propylene Glycol

29g

Manganese chloride

0.05g

Hydroxypropyl Cellulose

1g

Monoethanolamine

Appropriate to pH9

softened water

Appropriate amount to 100g

[0289] The composition (a1) was applied on dry natural hair containing 90% white hair at a bath ratio of 5 g of the preparation per 1 g of hair. The treated hair was then placed under a drying hood at 45°C for 30 minutes to develop.

[0290] Composition (b1) was then applied to the hair with a color development time of 10 minutes at room temperature. After a few minutes, a very intense copper-red coloration appeared.

Abstract

A subject of the present invention is a method for dyeing keratin fibers by applying to said fibers i) at least one catechol derivative, ii) at least one metal salt, iii) at least hydrogen peroxide or at least one hydrogen peroxide generating system and iv) at least one carbonate or bicarbonate. Another subject of the invention is a multi-compartment device comprising components i), ii), iii) and iv). This method of hair coloring makes it possible to obtain better coloration from ortho-quinone extracts, in particular natural ortho-quinone, which is more uniform, colorful and firm, and does not have a detrimental effect on the cosmetic properties of the keratin fibers.

Description

technical field [0001] A subject of the present invention is a process for dyeing keratin fibers by treating said fibers with i) at least one catechol derivative, ii) at least one metal salt, iii) at least hydrogen peroxide or at least one hydrogen peroxide generating system and iv) at least one carbonate or bicarbonate treatment. Background technique [0002] It is known to obtain "permanent" coloration using dyeing compositions containing oxidation dye precursors, commonly known as oxidation bases, such as o- or p-phenylenediamine, o- or p-aminophenol and heterocyclic compounds. These oxidation bases are colorless or slightly colored compounds which, in combination with oxidative products, can give colored compounds by oxidative coupling processes. It is also known that the hue obtained can be altered by combining oxidation bases with couplers or color modifiers, the latter being selected in particular from aromatic m-diamines, m-aminophenols, m-diphenols and certain het...
