Abstract

The invention provides a DC blocking type low residual voltage gas tube lightning arrester comprising a threaded sleeve, a male casing, a female casing, an upper casing, a lower casing, female insulators, contact pins, a patch capacitor, a gas tube and sheet copper, wherein the male casing and the female casing are positioned at the front end and the rear end of the lightning arrester respectively; the upper casing and the lower casing are fixed between the male casing and the female casing and are fastened together; the threaded sleeve is screwed on the outer ring surface of the male casing; the contact pins include a front contact pin and a rear contact pin which are positioned in the central holes of the male casing and the female casing respectively and isolated from the male casing and the female casing respectively through the two female insulators; the patch capacitor is fixed on the outer side surface at the rear end of the front contact pin and is in contact with the end surfaces of the female insulators; the gas tube is positioned in a central hole formed between the upper casing and the lower casing and is fixed on the upper casing; and the front contact pin, the patch capacitor and the gas tube are connected through conductors.
